Officine Panerai has created a new special edition timepiece for Chinese watch enthusiasts — a Luminor Marina dedicated to China (PAM00366). This special edition comes with a 44mm Luminor Marina case made out of a single block of polished stainless steel, a black oxhide straps and a OP II calibre, a hand-wound mechanical movement developed by Panerai and certified by C.O.S.C.. The character "Fu" is at 6 o'clock which interestingly replaced the original numeral on the typical Panerai dial. &nb... more

Most of you probably know the 360 is a limited ed. launched for 10 years Paneristi, only 300 pc will be made ! I must say I like the vintage look with the patina coloured dial and hands, but on the other hand it's a pitty they didn't made a bigger difference with the 195 (same logo, same PVD look, same case) of course there's always something to debate on but still they could have done maybe a little more effort to make it more different just my 2c and probably because i ow... more

Thanks to Chronopassion, I had the opportunity to see a prototype of the PAM 338.If I understand you well, this 338 is a long awaited watch due to its very attractive specifications:- a case diameter of 42mm which reinforces its elegancy - a titanium case- golden hands (which is not the case for the 337)- the use of an exclusive caliber the P.999/1 (we wil come back to this topic later in the post). So I was very happy to discover it !The watch is, without any doubt very beautiful. The 42mm case works very w... more

Panerai had a press preview of the SIHH 2010 novelties at the Beverly Hills Boutique on Wed & Thu March 24th & 25th, so some of the PPro mod team made our way down there to check out the new watches. I wanted to do something different for this Panerai SIHH 2010 report because we've already had many great reports from Jonathan Zhang, pifpaf, Nad, Martin, and TonyP with tons of fabulous pictures, so how can I add to these reports without being redundant? Answer: wristshots and videos! ... more

The primary thing that struck me about this year’s Panerai collection is the seemingly liberal use of faux vintage ecru luminova – which works terrifically for the Panerai aesthetic. 2010 is a good year for Panerai, it never has bad years, and this year’s collection is led by a pair of complications that are startling. The first is the Radiomir Tourbillon GMT Ceramica – I went “wow” when I saw this one – it’s an impressive watch.... more

Announced a few years ago, eagerly awaited every year, it finally landed. Why is it a Myth? The Mare Nostrum, I mean the original one, was a Prototype conceived for the Italian Deck Officers in 1943, but as the Story says, it was never produced. So, this watch is a kind of Loch Ness Monster, a phantasm, every Panerai fan never played with it, never saw it in the flesh, except at the Panerai Museum, and badly dreamt about it. ( Pic by Asi ) A 52 mm Beast, housing an Angelus 215 Chrono, with a large smooth bez... more

First up, three of the new 42mm-cased "dress" Radiomirs.New for this year, the P.999 manual-wind in-house calibre at 12'" and 3.4mm thickness, is smaller than previous Panerai in-house movements, allowing the development of a smaller, thinner, and (dare I say it) more feminine line of Radiomir cases.PAM00336 Radiomir "Oro Rosa" 42mm, brushed rose gold case with polished RG front and rear bezels and brown dial (not easily seen on my photo) -The new 19-jewel, 21,600vph movement, designed and produced at Paner... more

Hi all, here are the pics I took at the SIHH last Friday. You have probably already seen photos of most - if not all - new models but I hope that you can appreciate my report nonetheless. Apologies if you've already seen this post elsewhere, I'm posting it on the watch fora that I read on a daily basis.I'll start with the remake of the PAM29. This is one of this year's special editions of 500 units. The new 323 with the automatic P.2003/5 in-house calibre and circular power reserve indicator on the dial. An... more

First, the watch for dude... The historical pieces. At last i try great Egyptianno, it's pure show off piece, 8 inch wrist and i can't wear it... The finition is really good, titanium case and finish of the dial approch perfection. Too much lugs... How can Stallone wear it?? The new Mare Nostrum, I love it, the more straight replica of vintage, impressive, she can be good at my wrist... The photo don't show it but she quit in proportion, not for all day, but it's perfect for a friday wear. The move seem ... more
