SIHH PAM300 Mare Nostrum photos

Jan 28, 2010,04:41 AM

Hi everyone, these are the photos that I took at the Geneva SIHH of the new PAM300. A 52mm re-edition of the original 1942 Mare Nostrum prototype. The movement is a Minerva based Panerai OP XXV which can be seen through the case back crystal. The watch comes with a really nice olive green canvas strap similar to that of the original. There's a bit of a color cast on some of the photos. I think it has to do with the fact that I shot those under mixed light. Sorry about that.

Cheers,
Martin

Martine, thanks for the great pictures But Panerai , why such an expensive piece and why so less pieces ?? I like the watch very much but why didn't you make 1000 of them instead of 99 and why not an inhouse chrono instead of that VERY expensive modified ...

Who here loves the new Mare Nostrum green strap? **raises hand**

Love the display back. Too big for my wrist but it'd make a cool desk clock. Thanks for the great shots, Martin.

What a beautiful movement! Great pics.

be able to solve this mystery that was stuck in my mind for almost four years now... I first saw the remake of Mare Nostrum during SIHH 2006. Herr Bonati asked me to guess the movement which I couldn't quite figure out. It seems that it's the very same Mi...
