The very first civilian article about Panerai in Firenze

Jun 26, 2009,22:50 PM

At the end of the 80’s, Stéphane Ceijka introduces the World Photo Press of Japan to Panerai in Firenze. Kesaharu Imai (Editor) missions in Europe his agent Tadashi Noda to gather all possible information about watches and instruments of special Military units.

At that time only a handful of people knew about Panerai, Stéphan Ceijka was one of them, privileged in a friendship with Commandant Franco Zavattaro who when retired from actions was at Panerai in Firenze in the position Commercial Director, Stéphan Ceijka obtains from the Commandant the rights for a full reportage about Panerai in Firenze watches and instruments, and was also authorized by the Marine Militare authorities to publish some of the history relating Panerai in Firenze and the Marina Militare.

The article was published a couple of years later, and the sad think is that not many of us speak Japanese, but the photo are a delight to the eyes.

a few years back ago I had this article translated (2003 I think) and I did share its content with a few, including Nicolas. The sad thing is that that file is somewhere and at this point only God knows

My dreams about first articles about Panerai are becoming reality
