from having a Panerai in my collection (the last was a PAM 237 sold a few years ago), I found this mint piece from a fellow Purist in Hong Kong this week. I did miss having one and am glad to have found this from the 2006 special editions. A quick shot of...

The foudroyante feature is rather cool and not so common, and the movement I believe is Jaquet, which Panerai renames OP XXI caliber in their line.

If you want a Panerai in your collection, why not buy a PANERAI (001/002/000/005/390/176/177/372 to name a few) instead of a watch that looks like a GP, PP, VC but is NOT? :-)

and it looks like a Panerai Radiomir to me. I don't see any resemblence to PP, VC. Is it the "sourced" movement like so many other models?

With a dial..that..busy, it looks like anything but..

a Panerai :-) Radiomir is your "poison"? A 210, 232, 249...all simple, quintessential Panerais. But hey, I just HAD to..ask. Your answer is "plenty good enough for me" Ciao

Yes, the quintessential look comes out in the models you note. I like those too. I guess the question is whether Panerai should be making any complications or not? They have made many chronos with a similar vibe over the years. Here, the 246 adds the extr...

Btw, I wrote a review on my ex-PAM246 several years ago if anyone is interested in reading it: Some many not like the "busy" look of this PAM246 but I find it refreshing. Congrats on the great pick-up! Cheers, Anthony

its a great piece..I am of the camp, if it sings, buy it...granted panerai is more about simple dials... but I too have found this piece interesting over the years... enjoy
