SIHH 2013...I think will be special, and we can all dream no?
By: Miranda : September 30th, 2012-09:43
My perfect dream (apart from the small Egyziano...which is THE ultimate of course) how about a 372 in 44mm with 5128 dial? or if that is tooooo much to ask, how about a 372 44mm with a tobacco dial a la 390? as I said we can but dreammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm........
For the first one, you meant " 5218 - 201/A " dial?
By: amanico : September 30th, 2012-09:53
In this case, not sure... After all isn't the Logo Pre V unique? As for your offer Nr 2, yes, this would be a good one. BUT I stick to my fantaisy: A Small Egiziano, I mean a 6154, would make my day... Best, Nicolas
I believe that, remaking a 5218 Logo dial....

would be tantamount to shooting themselves in the foot. I mean, mucking around with the "iconic" would be suicidal, IMO. The Small Egiziano would be another story. From few pieces, way back when, to a limited edition (maybe with a manifattura movement or ...
Well, the made the 360?

Which, to me, is essentially a pre-v logo dial in a pvd case. Therefore, I can't see why they wouldn't use the same dial in a 44mm 372 case? I don't think anything is off limits for Panerai. I think this is largely a good thing.
The 360 IS a PVD Logo..

the fact that Panerai (Richemont) can do whatever they feel like, it's a given. So far, the remake of recent models (26K, 28L) haven't been huge successes. As for me, personally, I'd be dancing on tables if they were to re-issue a logo since my original w...
Well, put it that way...you're right, of course...
By: sergio : October 1st, 2012-08:36
what I meant was that, the "other" guys, took a Logo as a template. Clearly Panerai wouldn't allowe an "hommage" to happen and they probably suggested a DLC version. On the obvious differences and nouances of the two pieces, guy like you, could write a wh...

They have to ask themselves one question :)
Agreed there are differences....
By: Aless156 : October 1st, 2012-08:56
between the 360 dial and the pre-v logo dial, which is why I said they were "essentially" the same. However, to me, I still think the 360 dial is a re-release of the famous pre-v logo dial. It's as near as Panerai's can probably get with their current man...
Like that 372 with 390 inspiration
By: patrick_y : October 2nd, 2012-01:14
Full support of the 372 in the 390 guise. Love the 390. The 390 is on my short list of favorite Panerais. So classic, and in a manageable size. Admittedly, while I like the 47mms the most, the 390 is a watch that I can truly wear most of the time. Love th...
agree, but

I would say keep it at 47mm... I really think it is the perfect size for the Panerai Luminors
Totally agree...

That "dream" of a 44mm 372 is more of a nightmare to me :))
