And I much more prefered the 127... didn't like to wear it on my right wrist... And, compared to the 127, something seemed to be wrong...But it was just a personal feeling... Best. Nicolas

Nicolas, could you describe your feelings with Pam 217 on the left wrist?

I suppose many Purists have Left-Handed PAM 00022, PAM 00026. The size case is different from PAM 217. Fred TAN posted a picture with 3 left-handed PANERAI watches. I hope he could share some experiences. Best regards, patrickh

Difficult to put in words, Patrickch

I have a couple of thoughts

Hi Patrick I too have the 217 and for me the on wrist (right hand) it works fine. I have another (sinn u1000 chrono) with all the crowns on the left and it too works well on wrist. For me it is the setting that is a bit awkward flipping the watch over to ...

For a Luminor case,

Hi, Fred TAN have you some experience to share;

I saw you have posted a picture with 3 left-handed PANERAI watches. Do you wear them on your left wrist? Aesthetic choice? Confort every day and to re-wind the movement? Thanks, Patrickh

I wear all e Destro on my left arm

 By: Fred Tan : May 13th, 2008-01:26
It's more comfy as the crown will not impede my wrist. It's oso cooler as people will know it's a Destro right away cos it's harder to recognized a Destro if you wear em on the right wrist.

Thanks Fred to confort me in that way

never had any problem with it

I bought my 217 back in 2005, and wear it regulary and never had a problem with it on my left wrist ! on the contrary it feels 'wrong' for me when i put a watch on my right wrist, it never sits comfortable. The position of the crown has nothing to do with...

Very nice on your wrist P@trick

I second that,,,,

It is a matter of getting used to as we are so used to the crown on the right, which most watches are built.. Most people will try it and probably, say otherwise. But if given the chance to have it a little longer, you may have second thoughts..imo.. I fi...

You are right,

I suppose it should take time to change habits with a left-handed watch as I always had right-handed ones. The pleasure to wear another style (look) should be personally great (inside) and needs time. Thanks Kenneth for this realistic approach, Cheers, Pa...

Would rather wear a 217 on left hand any day!

 By: palmasea : May 11th, 2008-18:46
The 217 like the 127 is a huge watch! Worn on the left hand, it feels extremely comfortable, well balanced and most unique looking. I had my issues at first on wearing a destro on my left hand. But the second I wore the 217, I began craving more destros. ...

Pam217 vs Pam127

 By: palmasea : May 11th, 2008-19:05
I Apologize my fellow purists for making this a fiddy vs fidestro competition...It's just that IMHO, even at ~20k, I don't think there is a nicer watch for the price/long term value as the 217!...

You are speaking from wisdom I see.

What a very impressive collection !!

 By: patrickh : May 12th, 2008-10:13
I recognize that PAM217 is a HUGE Panerai. Prices look too heavy now. I prefer wait for a new dextro (in 2009) at premium price. A Ceramic or Titanium one, I hope. Thanks, Patrickh

217 value should overtake 127 for 4 reasons

I'm about to take the plunge on a 217 and never gave.....

 By: ron2 : May 12th, 2008-09:07
a second thought as to wearing it on my right hand. Yes, Destro is for right hand literally, but with the size and all, the left-side crown would never get in the way of any wrist movements when on the left wrist. So, it seems to me that it is actually de...

I was thinking wearing it on my left hand exclusively,

 By: patrickh : May 12th, 2008-09:16
and just wanted to get your experiences in that case. Obviously, all answers seemed positive. A left-handed Panerai could be my next purchase. Thanks again, all of you. Patrickh

Dun forget 22, 26, 56, 115, 117, 123, 219 & 239

 By: Fred Tan : May 13th, 2008-01:42
They're all Destro too.

PAM 190 in 2007,

PAM322 in 2008 (I am strongly waiting for) Dextro in 2009, I presume, When you fall in Panerai's love.... Cheers, Patrickh

For 2008, there's a PAM00026K...it's a Destro...u dun've to wait till 2009

 By: Fred Tan : May 13th, 2008-06:33
Then there's PAM00219 which is still in production. Also a destro.

I always wear all destro with my left hand and I love more and more because it's more comf

More comfortable. I prefer to wear 217 at my left hand wrist cause 47mm and crowd-guard make the watch bigger than my expected. destro maniac!...
