In honor of the 2 new APs posted below, show us your first AP

I get so excited when I see new members with new APs. Makes we remember way back to 2001 when I discovered thePurists and really dove into AP. My first was the silver dial rubberclad. I had never even held an AP when I purchased it. I'll never forget the ...

Here we go!

I love it every day more! Fx ...

Easy to see why, my Friend

I admire your decision to start with a Millenary. This watch is one of AP's finest pieces, regardless of shape.

And the performances of the movement are great.

I had a lot of discussions about the 4101 with Giulio Papi: the 4hz frequency, the specific balance inertia and so on... the watch works prefectly and it is very accurate. The 4101 is not a 3120 with a different lay-out as some may think. It is a movement...

Indeed.

I had a great conversation with Giulio and will be bringing forth some remarks soon.

ROO Montoya... Picture shamelessly stolen on the net, I don't remember who took this shot. A watch I would have kept if it had nicely fit on my wrist, but the folding buckle hurted it too much... A pain, as I loved it! Best, Nicolas ...

A bold choice. This one really broke barriers, IMO

When we consider some of the recent AP Offshore Limited Editions, we can find cues that go back to this Montoya. And as audacious as the Offshore platform can be, I recall the JPM as the most polarizing version when it was released. There were many naysay...

At this moment, I was hesitating between the Barrichello II and the Montoya.

The Montoya convinced me more, I have to say. And yes, you are true, this watch was not very consensual, at this time. Which convinced me even more to get it! Thanks for the trip in LA, we missed you, my friend. Best, Nicolas

Go on then...
