It's my first Habring² although I've been looking for "the right one" for quite a while...

...way back to the pre-A11 days.
I honestly couldn't really appreciate the "sector" dials and their "matching" cases, giving the whole watch an almost steam-punk feel... .
Then Erwin hit the market and I loved the "sleeper" look about it - a very simple dial where the ONLY uncommon feature was the deadbeat complication (hence "sleeper"). At 38.5mm and with unremarkable dial I was hesitant... .
Then the (silver-dial) Chrono-Felix was introduced and I was ready to buy one but with the sample my AD had, the 30min sub-register was slightly off on reset and my OCD had me waiting for another. The next one came in with the Panda dial which looks pretty awesome, but... try reading the seconds or 30min sub-registers in any environment other than bright light and good luck with that (SS polished hands quickly match the background & when the background is dark, well, there you have it).
Then they announced the
Foudroyante-Felix* and that solved my Erwin problem with the addition of the Foudroyante sub-register! Now I had the pleasure of both deadbeat-seconds and the subregister
to keep my eyes "occupied" *Be warned that the black-dial Foudroyante is just as difficult to read as the Panda Chrono-Felix (SS on black...).
Now I've come to the realization that "my" ultimate 38.5mm Habring² would be the
Felix-Chrono WITH Foudroyante!!! Of course, with the Foudroyante "connected to" the chronograph function - which is what it
is REALLY designed for...
