300 for the colour scheme, 603 for the case

love the 300, love the blue hands but in steel it's too heavy.

I have a 341 which i don't find heavy, met some guy at a party wearing a fake one, which was a little embarrassing for him, what followed was a hole load of justification why it was as good as the real one. I tried his on and in steel it was unwearable.

I came really close to buying a 300 9 months ago, but in the end i knew i'd never actually wear it, for m the 603 is perfect case wise.

Saying that i'd prefer the blue hands and see through caseback

Original PAM300 Mare Nostrum in stainless steel with black dial, olive green strap & blue hands The new Mare Nostrum PAM603 in titanium from SIHH 2015 w/ brown dial and faux patina hands Which one of these 52mm monsters you like better? Personally I t...

If I am not wrong, the 603 has a big advantage, the titanium case.

Which is much lighter than the steel Pam 300. Though, 52 mm is a big problem. As for the dial, I love both of them. Yhe Minerva movement is the cherry on the cake. Again, the size... If only Panerai released it in a wearable ( 45 / 47 mm ) size! Best, Nic...

I think one day Panerai will make a smaller Mare Nostrum case

And I think this new smaller case will be the "new" case they will introduce. For me though if this were to happen, I\'d still be disappointed and would want Panerai to introduce a totally brand new case to help fight the apathy I\'m starting to feel for ...

I wish you are right about a smaller case. Now, I would like to see a new case for

Dressier and more complicated offers... Panerai, do you ( finally ) hear us? Best, Nicolas

Regards, Hans ...

Indeed so, and Anthony's pic makes the watch look wearable despite it's monstrous size.

But the 300 is a much more interesting color scheme in my eyes.

Hehe that's not my wrist

It's actually an ex-NFL player's wrist, so he's a pretty big guy. Cheers, Anthony

300 color scheme, but the 008 is 42mm

what is the history of the smaller mare? At 42mm?

5218-301/A was the first in the Pre Vendome Era, then the Pre V Slytech 302

Graduated bezel, or 304, Smooth bezel. Of course, the first Mare is from 1943 ( if my memory serves me well ) and existed only as a proto, housing an AngĂ©lus movement. The case was 52 mm big, and the PAM 300 is a trustful re edition. Then, in 1997, you ha...

Thanks Nicolas!!!
