A Panerai with a precious metal case gets damaged to a point where it needs a case replacement?

Will Panerai charge you $15,000 for a new Gold case and also keep your damaged Gold case?

I wonder...

They probably ask that to minimize the chances of counterfeit watches

Maybe for that X that they originally charged you for the dial swap, has already factored in the benefit that they'll be able to realize on your old dial? i.e. the actual price for a new dial is: X + $250. So typically on a dial swap where they'll GET the...
