never had the problem

Are you sure you operating it correctly? I had my 319 for sometime now , although i had only worn it a few times, but i do play with the chrono function quite often when i wear it, because i just love big sweep seconds!!! And there has never been any problems with it....

I do know that when the watch has been idle and not wounded for quite sometime, even if you fully wound the watch to max, sometimes the chrono will stop prematurely. But the problem disappears when the watch has been operating for over an hour or more. This happened to my 317 quite a while ago. but then it never happened again with any of my watches.

Panerai QC problem

 By: Hans : September 15th, 2012-17:12
Hi all, Has reviewed a PAM 319 in Rose Gold, it is HUGE!!!!! The watch is limited edition with production of 300 only and I have an impression that each must go with a strict QC testing as expected. I have finally located this PAM 319 in an offical AD and...

Sorry to hear you're experiencing problems with your PAM319

The watch wouldn't have passed QC if the chrono functions don't work. If the watch was working when you purchased it, then something must have happened in the meantime. You can't blame Panerai for the problem since it was working before. There are a lot o...

didn't buy the piece, just tested it at a dealer..:-) Ciao - Sergio

If that's the case, then a high probability is it broke at the AD

maybe store employee or customer accidently dropped box or watch on floor/counter sometime. Way too many unknowns to even blame Panerai IMO. Cheers, Anthony

a flaw, malfunction, mishap has to be factor in, with every piece. If that weren't true, the word "lemon" to describe a faulty piece, would never have been...created..hahahahahaha Good thing, almost everything that brakes down can be fixed and what can't ...

Hi Anthony, Thanks for your mail. I did plan to buy the 319 and asked the AD to locate one for me. I have examined the watch myself and initially the first click to start the chrono has no problem and the split system has no issue. When I reset and start ...

As luck or the lack of it

may have it, this might be an isolated incident. Is your dealer getting you another one?

Potential HIgh Risk?.....

I wouldn't quite put it that way. I own a number of Panerais and NEVER had a problem with any of them. I did, though, have a problem with a...Breguet, which I had to send...twice...to Switzerland to have the same problem fixed. I had a Blancpain Flyback t...

The watch has 5 days power

 By: Hans : September 20th, 2012-10:22
Thanks Anthony, The watch has 5 days power as I recall and seems that the chrono function does not work out. Tried another one and is same. Will that be so lucky to have both watches not working?? I plan to buy initially and really scare me after. I guess...

But were both watches wound up?

If the watches are not wound up, then the chronograph won't work. That's just too much of a coincidence for 2 watches to not work and have the same problem. - AT

never had the problem
