This is the type of data that Panerai should have publicized when releasing the 309 and 322. Craig

Minerva and Panerai "Mare Nostrum". It seems that "Côtes de Geneve" are not at the same place between picture and watch, doesn't it? Kind regards, Patrickh

no 'craftsman of the year' award for that decorator....... mind you this watch was actually meant to explode? Cheers, Asi

could be possible for collectors if Panerai will officially publish

your pictures in a reference book. Hope so for you. Very great work Asi. Thanks to be the "Sherlock Holmes" for this forum. It seems crazy that Panerai do not do that such work. It is a pity. Roots of Panerai is the heart of the brand,IMO. Cheers, patrick...

Interesting that the subdial actually got most of the Panerai fonts/numeral but the main dial is made with slightly different fonts.

Great info Asi...

I will see you in September then? Asi

Asi, let's find another MN with Minerva and you may have 'the Connection'

 By: PoyFR : May 23rd, 2009-12:54
wOw... are you protecting someone famous? 'LR' 'RL' ;-) I have handled and seen more than 5 of thos Mare Nostrum pieces, it is the very first time I see (or hear) of one with an unbranded movement, and... Minerva. 'LR' collects very unique pieces which co...

I have checked 4

 By: Asimut : May 23rd, 2009-20:37
of them 2 from FF, one from LR and one is Hagen's. I did check all four pieces in the course of one weekend and all of them have exactly the same unmarked movement that is clearly Minerva. Doesn't add any special value or surprise as Minerva is well known...

I asked for one more ;-) 4 the same, then You 'AB' undoubtedly made the connection

 By: PoyFR : May 24th, 2009-00:16
Amassing find! I did not keep any. From the one I knew or had, I thought to remember they housed 2 other branded movement... but from 4 out of 4 you 'AB' have History connection no doubts! Bravo Asi, great find indeed!

ROFLMAO, Asi.
