 By: Bill Sohne : March 24th, 2013-18:59
Hi everyone I actually had some time to "play" with a watch or two... Here is something I do not think I posted in at lest 10 years... a Pre 321 27 CHRO C12 in a first generation water proof screwback case. This is pre Speedmaster , pre Seamster ( or pret...

Ref. 2287

 By: MSNWatch : March 24th, 2013-19:04
The first case reference to house the cal. 321 family of movements (then known as 27CHRO C12) in a screwback case. Hard to come by.

sadly, and please punish me, i only bought 1 Omega with me to Bims

and he has taken it to wear all week so i am reduced to wearing a modern ceramic Ocean7 and a 1973 Seiko monaco chrono. the Omega i have with me is my 751 seamaster chronometer. it may not be a 1964 omega, but i love it to bits. the first day/date family ...

I was thinking about running down to the beach for a photo, but I looked in the hall closet for props first. We've got almost everything stashed in there ... Cheers, Cazalea ...

I always get a tingly feeling when i see that dial Mike. So beautiful and so unusual for Omega. Have fun at the beach. G On 28 Mar 2013 00:41, "www watchprosite" *Alert from:* www:watchprosite > *Posted By:* cazalea (registered) on March 27th, 2013 - 16:4...

. . . to you, Mike. I've never seen another like it.

I hadn't either, but lookie here

 By: cazalea : March 28th, 2013-20:43
Look what just sold 10 days ago on the auction site we don't mention! Less than a price of a pool cue. ...

Not bad at all . . .

 By: Dr No : March 28th, 2013-21:26
. . . and given my recent saturation with pool playing paraphernalia, I'd be more inclined now to part with marginal dollars on a similar Omega rather than yet another cue.

What a beautiful and unusual dial Cazalea!...

Never seen one like this before! I really love it! I guess not many were made with this dial, though you show one offered in some web site! Thanks for sharing! Best cordial regards, Abel.

Brand spanking new (to me)...

here's a teaser; hasn't left my wrist (other than sleeping) since its arrival yesterday ...

and a good guess under the circumstances. As you almost certainly deduced from the dial, it is a 30T2ScRg. However, it is a Swiss case, but quite a rare reference, so your French case guess was understandable.

ok, ref. 14.159 [nt]

that sounds like a rather modern reference (correct me if I'm wrong). This watch dates to 1945.

 By: mac_omega : March 28th, 2013-23:02
Tony, I would have also guessed a ref 14159 from the tiny visible part of the lugs, but you have already given a "no" to Mike... It is none of the 23XX ref., I can not remember any other ref. from around that time which included a 30 T2 SC Rg with this pa...

Hi Erich...

 By: Tony C. : March 29th, 2013-05:49
thank you for your thoughts. That you are unaware of this reference surely underscores its rarity. It is, in fact, a 23xx reference, and yes, I do have an archive extract from Omega. I know of only one other example of this reference that is currently in ...

an original centenaire. i'm envious! as for your buckle question, i can only guess really. i believe the one on the left to be from the 70s, as i owned this briefly and it had that buckle: the other just looks older to my eye, though i really have nothing...

Funky! :)

By: blomman Mr Blue : April 4th, 2013-13:13
That is a funky piece! Wonder what the 2002 refer to..? Thank you for your input. Yes, my guess is the same - if you compare with JLC, IWC, Zenith - all had similar buckles as the one to the right left during the 60-70's. The other one to the right is mor...
