 By: DrStrong : March 17th, 2010-07:36
sorry, I don't know who to credit for the pictures... the Tudor look very nice ! This message has been edited by AnthonyTsai on 2010-03-17 08:57:06 This message has been edited by DrStrong on 2010-03-26 01:41:11...

Wow, the Tudor Chrono is a winner!

 By: amanico : March 17th, 2010-07:40
No surprises for the new Sub, except on the first pic, maybe... What is it? Gold or SS? The new Explo seems to be bigger...40 mm? But I'm ok with it, I fear ...worst. BUT THE TUDOR.... WOOOOOOOOOW! I appreciate a lot the way they stay close to the origina...

I agree the tudor is stunning!

 By: Aless156 : March 17th, 2010-07:59
I've read the price will be CHF 4,000 and they will be available from June. I've read conflicting reports about whether they are 40 or 42mm.

So it is a bargain

 By: amanico : March 17th, 2010-08:04
I still have to know what movement is used for this Chrono and its size, but it may really be my next one.... Best, and thanks for the information. Nicolas

is it....

 By: MiniCooper : March 17th, 2010-11:36

With a diameter of 42 mm, I first have to see it in the flesh...

 By: amanico : March 17th, 2010-12:08
I hope that it will still have a balance look, even with such a big case! If the volumes are ok, then I would go on the grey dial. Best, Nicolas

I thought so....

 By: MiniCooper : March 17th, 2010-12:09

loving the new Tudor Monte Carlo re-edition

 By: onefivezero : March 17th, 2010-07:57
it's officially called the Heritage Chrono. here are some press-kit pics taken from the web. looks almost identical to the original except for: 1.) no lug holes on the case 2.) no cyclops 3.) knurled bezel, crown and pushers 4.) slightly different bracele...

Thanks for sharing these press files pics, 150.

 By: amanico : March 17th, 2010-08:41
I'm more and more intrigued by this watch... Thaks for pointing out the differences between the modern and the vintage. It looks very colse to the original, tough, and have a superb presence. Hope that the real exeprience won't be deceiving. Best, Nicolas

It looks great...

 By: DrStrong : March 17th, 2010-10:01

What movement is in the Tudor chrono...?

 By: chaser579 : March 17th, 2010-11:39
Is it chorometer-rated (COSC, of course) like the Daytona? I've heard that Tudor's are not available in the USA anymore, true or not? Looks like Rolex is taking a cue from Omega and other watch lines going with grey dials and updates. The green sub is a g...

Hey now!

 By: dxboon : March 17th, 2010-08:36
Do I see a vintage Tudor re-edition in this post?! Vintage re-edition=Daos' sweet spot! That's a good-looking piece of metal! So, Jeff, will all the new Rolex Subs have ceramic bezels in colors matching their dials? Cheers, Daos

Me want the Tudor/is the green ss?

 By: Mostel : March 17th, 2010-08:44
Thanks!!

Tudor is stunning...

 By: Giggs : March 17th, 2010-08:48
...especially with that 'nato' strap. No surprises with the black sub and explorer but the green sub?! I really don't know how I feel about this at all!!

the new LV sub makes the old one so much more appealing.

 By: onefivezero : March 17th, 2010-08:54
is there a new explorer II?

Thank you....

 By: MiniCooper : March 17th, 2010-10:24

 By: amanico : March 17th, 2010-12:09

I don't know, PP...I'm still waiting for some informations, BUT

 By: amanico : March 17th, 2010-12:19
It makes me think to the thicker volume of the GMT... To be confirmed. But I'm not crazily in love with the new Sub... Lucky me! Best, Nicolas

There seems to be....

 By: MiniCooper : March 17th, 2010-12:21

I've been waiting for a long time actually my dream come true.

Why 45-min counter?

 By: Giggs : March 18th, 2010-23:48

Another vote for Tudor ...

 By: AndrewD : March 17th, 2010-20:01
Thanks for this. I haven't been excited about a new Rolex for a long time, but this Tudor re-issue looks great. I always assumed I would be getting Speedmasters for my boys' 18th bithdays, but the Tudor Heritage Chrono looks like it might a viable alterna...

you can attach a cyclops...

 By: onefivezero : March 18th, 2010-01:58
andrew, you can actually attach a cyclops if you want to. the one's on the GMT's, Subs, etc. are just glued on. if you google it, you will find threads that show you how to remove the cyclops. they also explain how it is attached. i'm sure you can easily ...

Thanks for the suggestion ...

 By: AndrewD : March 18th, 2010-14:41
I have enough trouble putting protective films on mobile phones and Nintendo game screens (LOL), so I am not sure I would be attempting to modify a new watch. Still, it's an interesting idea and good to know it can be done. Andrew

Game, set, match, Tudor!

 By: AlexSunrise : March 17th, 2010-20:35
What a beautiful chrono! Ever since Tudor came back strong a couple of years ago, I had been longing to see them go back to their roots and history. I am glad they did because it is a knockout! As for Rolex, those three models leave me with a somewhat bit...

"New" Explorer looks great to me

 By: Starman : March 18th, 2010-01:36
I read on the website that it has a 39 mm case so that will do. There were quite some comments on the 36 mm case being to small, so this will satisfy a few customers. I have to say that I choose the II over the I for one reason because of its size. I love...

Oversized watches

 By: guidedchaos64 : March 18th, 2010-05:21
My only problem with the trend of oversized watches is,you only get a bigger case. The watch movement always remains the same size. This is like the oversized packaging supermarkets use(a con) to give you the impression you are getting more for your money...

WOW

 By: Mr.Gatsby : March 21st, 2010-02:48
The Tudor is awesome!!

And also just wanting to find out

What are production numbers like and are they considered limited/special editions?
