Time flies! This Logo is alreay 21 years old. The one which re started the Panerai Story. Is it " sunk " in the modern models, or is it still in the memory and in the heart of the Paneristis? I was Lucky to own this one, the Nr 15, and unlucky to see it g...

first that came close was 249 and now 372, of course for me, not speaking about 21 & 203 cos it's different story, caliber speaking, but Logo is still Logo Myth that restarted the Myth Best D

Granted the brand has to....

diversify and re-invent itself over and over again (that's consumism for you) but I believe that what, after having been exposed to Panerai, if a neophite gathers knowledge and acquires the Panerai's taste, will recognoise in the 5218-201/A THE ultimate P...

Well, the ultimate Panerai, for me, is one of the vintage...

3646, 6152 ( /1 ); and 6154. Well, why not the GPF 2/56, if only it was a tad smaller... The Pre V are the next best thing, after these holy monsters. And the Logo, one of the best. Yes, my friend, when you put one on the wrist, you understand, feel, know...

Definitely

Still a grail for me, and I still think it is still The Panerai to have, for a die-hard paneristi The dial is just so well balanced Wether it is the matching or non-matching dial, it is one very beautiful watch, and special, as it represent the rebirth an...

It's still a holy grail vintage Panerai in my eyes

 By: AnthonyTsai : April 22nd, 2014-09:26
no matter if Panerai is moving towards the in-house movements. The essence of this Pre-V logo is still in the modern Panerai collection IMO, so it's all good for me. If I ever see this essence disappear, that will be the time many Panerai collectors will ...

Yes, but not a so distant time, we more often discussed these Pre V pieces.

Now, they seem to be a bit forgotten, don't you think? Best, Anthony. Nicolas

because we don't see you posting it often :)

don't think it's forgotten… I stopped looking at newer Panerai until the latest MM and my only panerai is still the pre-v logo, always a great feeling when I strap it on. Mech.

grail?

not for me... 5218-202/A MM...I would say YES, especially your ex. btw. i'm with you on the Vintage thoughts, another league. best /chris/

I understand your point, Chris. The 202/ A is really something.

Especially the one I had... The Logo is the first to have been released after a long period, and the 1000 metri prototype In that sense, this is an important one, and not the ugliest one. ;) Best, amico. Nicolas

an old post, but an old watch anytime!

.. how time flies, yes 21 years! wow! and I'm still loving it…I'm wearing it less but hey, it's time to bring it out for a ride! :) Mech. ...

That is, with the Pre V Mare Nostrum, the Panerai I miss the most.

Cherish yours! Best, my friend. Nicolas

Awe? Yes ... Grail? Nope ...

It may sound blasphemy ... but to me the preV era is an unfinished/undone bridge between the Vintage age (which is the summa of what I call Panerai passion) and the modern times ... to me Panerai is all about 47 mm cushion shaped case, so I never spent an...

Well, interesting discussion....

I agree with you on the charm and the aura of Vintage Panerais. Any Paneristi can only agree with you on that. BUT I disagree on the lack of interest about the Pre Vendôme. Since the last vintage, the GPF 2/56, what was Panerai? A Proto 1000 metri from th...

... I was probably too strong in my statement ... I don't under-estimate the importance of the preV days, preV dials are gorgeous ... I just don't feel as attracted as I feel for Vintage and for some top class Special Edition ... anyway, no doubt that the...

And don't forget the " Projetto Slytech " watches....

Such as the Pam 21, Pam 40, Pam 24.... Which were born in the Vendôme years, but conceived before.... Best, Nicolas

One of the best ever!
