In short, Locmanin an special exclusive agreement with the Marina Militare (Italiana), Locman is authorized and licensed to use the name 'Marina Militare (Italiana)' as well as all Marina Militare (Italianna) symbols'.  See details below...

 By: colantotte : October 14th, 2010-08:11
By the way, please check with ALBA to apply for license to use the MM... Cheers,

Since when, Colantotte?

 By: amanico : October 14th, 2010-08:16
If OP doesn't have the license anymore, it would be interesting to know since when, for several obvious reasons: 1/ The 267 was released in 2008. 2/ The 339 was announced as a MM since January 2010. It would be uncomprensive that Panerai used the MM name ...

I think, commercially it is/was in order, Trademarked by Panerai

 By: PoyFR : October 16th, 2010-05:18
Commercially speaking Panerai (as per the below document) has trademarked ‘MARINA MILITARE’ Italian for Italian Navy. In the Panerai publication, PAM 00036 was released with a special note: ‘Executed by kind permission of the Italian Navy’. Panerai mentio...

But in 2006, Locman and Marina Militare Italiana announced an exclusive agreement

Mi dispiace, MA....

 By: amanico : October 16th, 2010-06:11
Now that is very interesting. So, since late 2006, the rights to use with the collaboration of the Italian Navy ( MM ) were lost by Panerai at the sole profit of Locman watches ( Italy ). It is sad that Panerai didn't manage to keep this close and long hi...

LOL. Good one Nicolas.......nt
