Hello! My first post here at the Panerai forum...

... is to share a recent catch.

Panerai has something very special for me... I don´t like big watches nor the present trend to big size cases. I am happy with my vintage (and some modern) Rolex and Omega timepieces, mostly in the 36 to 40 mm size.

Panerai is the only "big size" watch I´m comfortable with. (My first Pam was a 111 bought in 2006 in Paris, which I still own)

Now, this particular Pam is a Super BIG size watch in my book, but I heard a little voice inside me saying: "take me home" when I was shown it first time a few weeks ago. I still can´t believe how I could buy a watch this size myself!

But it makes me smile when I view it on my wrist!

Had the Pam 64 aka La Bomba for some years. Loved this bad boy. In Blue, it is a bit less bad boy, but still powerful and enchanting. Well done, my friend. I didn't expect you here! Un abrazo, Nicolas

Thank you Nicolas! I was sure I was going to surprise you...

Maybe you and me will play this card, in a near future? Un abrazo, amigo. Nicolas

It's all about breaking that perception in your head and putting some duck tape over the little voice in your head who will chat nonstop "I can't wear anything over 40mm". Once you go big, you don't go back! :) Congrats on your 2nd Panerai, and hopefully ...

... that I´m rather biased towards smaller watches. I´ve been wearing a Rolex Submariner for almost 50 years as my only watch till I discovered watch collecting just 5 or 6 years ago, and then I have concentrated in vintages of 36 to 40 mm mostly. I have ...
