Pictures I took when I met it on its owner in Klagenfurt ( Austria ) in 2008, in a small bus driving us to a stadium ( ! )

I have a few watches I can call Grail, and this one belongs to this category.
To me, with the Mare Nostrum Proto, this is one of the most beautiful Vintage Panerai.
The absence of crownguards contributes to the purity of the big 47 mm case, this caramel dial is to die for, the hands are splendid, and the Watch has such a character!
If only Panerai had the good idea to re edit it...

I had the chance to see a 6154 in real life...quite lucky enough...
...but it wasn't this one, sadly. it's funny just a couple of days ago i was watching the almighty Panerai book by Loris & Luciano, masterpiece, actually....and my "Panerite" is stil lgrowing in me. it's a difficult world. regards ...

I have been told 587 and 622 have different cases???
622 is 47mm 1940 Radiomir case; while 587MM has modified 372 case???
I'm certainly not an expert... I guess the question is...
the 587 case similar to a 372 case without crow guard....OR.... Is the 587 case the same as a 514?...OR... Is the 514 case and 372 w/o CG the "same case"? Supposedly the 622 has same case as 514. its hard to tell from images on web as the profile the case...

... This brand. But I have to agree, the older more vintage pieces are simply fantastic. One of my buddy's has a "fiddy" and he wears it like a daily beater. I love that! Best, my friend. - Scott

I believe sooner or later
the exact same watch, with the brown dial and everything, pencil hands or not, will be in production. That will be the time to press the red button :) It can only converge to that point. Until then, I will be just "watch"ing around the brand :) Dogu
