Not many are aware of my story but to date I've owned 1178 watches (not at one time) and probably 20 or so of them have been panerai's. I can't recall all the reference numbers but I've had pvd coated pam 28 and a beautiful tantalum cased chrono, an arktos, a pam 25(think it was titanium with hobnail dial), a bronzo, an original slytech daylight and I could go on and on, the thing is I flipped them all as I was always chasing the next thing which I now regret, I've mentioned this before to nico before but I've paired back the collection and have really concentrated on buying pieces I love and not allowed myself to be caught up in buying something because it my appreciate in value or because its the latest and greatest , this forum has helped rekindle the reason I first got my first watch aged 6 and that was purely because I love them regardless of value or brand and they tell a story .

Regards
Darma

i havent owned a panerai for a while and decided on this pam424 just because its a bit different as i tend to see most panerai owners opting for luminors. these days i tend to find less is more for me when it comes with watches. regards darma ...

For a first Panerai pretty daring move

Btw, which Panerai(s) did you use to own? What made you sell it before? Cheers, Anthony
