If I understand it correctly, the 317 comes with black OEM leather strap..
which give the whole piece a pretty much 'stealth look'. However, I also find that the ceramic or PVD will go well with the brown strap that will make the watch very outstanding when putting on your wrist. One of my friend also put the color-OEM gators such as green or red on his PVD Panerai and I think it look great as well.

do you think 317 would only look good with black straps?
for some reason I can 289 is good with all colors of straps , but 317 is only good for black straps, I am not sure, do you agree? if possible, is there any black / dark Pam pics floating around with other colors of straps besides black? thanks
