Unfortunately I can't post any comparison with the 372 since mine has gone when I fell in love with a 1665...but this is another story.
My perception is that the case is a bit thicker, if you look at its profile the 587 case is very similar to the original 6152 whereas the 372 recalls the profile of the 6154 case which was thiner (I know the 372 is supposed to be the grandson of the 6152-1 but the case profile is very different, the 127 is the PAM which really has the 6152-1 case).
The case also looks to me a bit "wider" than the 372, meaning that the distance between the top right and bottom right lugs is larger than the 372... but, again, is just my eye perception as I did not put the two side by side.
I'm sur a much more accurate comparison will come out soon...meanwhile, I keep enjoying...

This watch is a unanimous winner.
If it had a solid caseback, and somehow a T dial... It would be PERFECT. As is, it is mostly perfect, and any Panerai enthusiast should go for this watch. Congratulations!
