Why not a Minute Repeater? The big cases should give room for great resonance...Ha!

Enough of jokes...I'm not sure whether the Panerai legacy could provide hints for a new case. On the other side, why should a company not come up with something downright new? Look at Cartier, they're really creative when it comes to new cases and shapes (of course not only that). With all it's great heritage, Panerai should be able to reinvent itself with a new product line. Still, why not rise to the challenge of incorporating complications in a nice way into the existing cases. They did this before and should be able also to deliver in the future.
Just two examples. Panarai's take on the big date in the PAM 65. Some might think that this destroys the dial but you have to see it in the flesh to realize that it's just vEEEry nice...
Another fine example is the Independent. It's just a quartz watch, you see, nothing special, haha...
A look at the back then reveals a simple but very effective complication, in reality in good view through the magnifying lense (sorry for the lousy Iphone pix):
All this in all simplicity incorporated into the traditional design, perfect for everyday wear. Sez your 42mm Radiomir case lover....
Cheers,
