I since learned by a watchmaker that the gradual changeover is much more power efficient, the cost of a snap from an energy standpoint is higher. But solving such problems is of course not out of the question.

I have one too since last year as the local AD kindly sold me one as my first RM. I've been using the blue strap for most of the time since and just switched to yellow last week. I'll up a pic! Somewhat controversial choice I think but apparently it's the fashion color of the season.
