Good morning from GMT -5, I have been a long time lurker at this wonderful website. I have enjoyed reading all the posts and looking at all the amazing photos. My story is not unique I am sure. I have been a watch lover all my life. I think I get the trai...

We are happy to convert a lurker in a member. And even more when he comes with a Patek 5110! Thanks for sharing your emotion and your moving story about that reference. Respect! Running after a watch for so many years, being able to put your hands on it, ...
Thank you very much Nicolas,

I am very excited to have many years with this watch. There is nothing better than being able to enjoy a piece of art on your wrist every day.
That's a great story

Dedication and work is (usually) rewarded in the end. I totally understand what you're talking about. I remember the time when you want something so much that you keep reading books, magazines, catalogue about it and dreaming you may get it some day. I'm ...

I remember picking up that issue of Watch Time from my local Patek AD. The 5110 is a special piece...nice, modern size, but still elegant. Enjoy it! Cheers, John
Welcome!

Great story and very nice watch. After 15 years of patience it must feel very rewarding and good finally strapping it on the wrist! You won\'t forget that moment. Ever.

Thank you for the kind words. I have always enjoyed wearing watches. I love the portability and functionality of these small mechanical works of art. I get great pleasure every time I look at my watch throughout the day. Think about how many times you loo...
I say often that there are other watches in the list
By: Mark in Paris : February 1st, 2016-14:35
but I must say this one is clearly in the top 3... Next to another one and which by the way you like too Let's wait to see what Baselworld reserves... Cheers, mark
Nearly!

In fact the P with anthracite dial. A watch I came slowly to appreciate very much but when I tried it not long ago, the experience was fantastic. Sporty (due to thickness, pushers and chrono monocounter) and quite elegant in the mean time (with very fine ...
What is not to love :)

This and my 5712/1A equally most versatile timepieces I have come across. The anthracite dial is superb, always works. Pump pushers and mono counter chronograph annual calendar with an in house automatic movement all reasons why this is a phenomenal daily...
We seem to have the same taste with the 5712 and 5960P Grey models!
By: Mark in Paris : February 2nd, 2016-12:39
The grey dial was maybe my last choice from the pictures but the marvel it is in the metal (experienced 2 weeks ago) pushed it in first place. I also thought about the black dial but, even if black is really a nice looking color for a dial, it is more dif...
anthracite vs alternative dials
By: keks : February 2nd, 2016-13:32
In a perfect world my pockets would be deeper I would wear one 5960 each weekday: 1. 5960P-001, the anthracite dial version to kick the week off 2. 5960R-001, the gray dial version to color up dreary Tuesdays 3. 5960G, the blue limited Moscow edition mid ...

White gold Moscow Not to be confused with the platinum blue version ...
Thank you keks, I didn't know about this one.
By: Mark in Paris : February 2nd, 2016-14:57
I imagine it is the kind of blue difference you have to see by yourself in the metal to judge. You're indeed right to put forward the R version. I know that the black dial R-gold is stunning too (as is the 5205R in the same oufit). Cheers, Mark
Thank you all for the kind words.
