which GMT MASTER II???

Jul 22, 2013,11:50 AM

I am in the market for the GMT Master II and am trying to decide between the traditional black vs black and blue dials.  I just recently sold my submariner and was pleasantly surprised with the resale value.

What do you guys think about the black and blue GMT Master?  Will it hold it's resale value like the traditional black or is this simply a passing fad?  I wore my last Submariner for 10 years and sold it for the same price I bought it for.  I would love for this next Rolex to have that same kind of staying power.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

.....i think your choice is so much more than the future value of the Rolex and how well it holds its price. Generally speaking, you won't find many people on this forum who look at their watch in terms of its ability to hold its value. Having said that, ...

Buy what sings to you..

Spot on. I used to worry about the value of my watch after purchase. It's not entirely as bad thing as there are expensive brands will take a huge plunge during resale. So if your wallet can't bear the loss, it's better to make sure that you're buying it ...

is that so?

Funny, I think I heard the saying somewhere before!

Well said...

Thanks everyone for your valuable input. I love the classic black/black it will never go out of style and I love the ceramic bezel which looks silver sometimes when the light bounces off of the watch. ...

Pleasure is the only reason...
