For now, no regrets...

I was very fond of my Zenith Chronomaster XXT Open. The picture is terrible, but the design was sublime. An underrated gem, perhaps because the Nataf era at Zenith was so controversial. However, it was my first secondhand watch purchase, and I had to send it in for multiple service issues.
One time it was a loose screw. Then the watch only held about 24 hours of power reserve. While it was out for servicing a third time, I purchased a second secondhand watch:
Again, I had a minor issue (the chrono rocker arm came loose in the shipping), so I sent it off to Glasutte for servicing. Glashutte Original took care of my problem for free. More importantly, there were no after-service issues. So I became a Glashutte Original evangelist. While the Panograph might lack the instantaneous seduction of the Zenith, I found it more comfortable, more interesting, more modest and...charmingly quirky. So I sold my Zenith for a significant loss. I hope it is currently being enjoyed, hassle free. It was a real looker.
I have also sold a few watches for my father too. Considering I encourage his watch habit, it is the least I can do. I enjoy the selling process itself, and I was happy with the deals themselves. So, no regrets on the selling end.
