Having  serviced movements with and without precision regulators- then for me a swan neck regulator is a great thing to have on a calibre as the knocks and jolts from every day use can be cancelled out by the regulator arm solidly  fixed between the spring and adjusting screw.where as without over time the regulator arm can move from jolts and every day use and age  and wear .swan necks are easier to finely adjust

The  calibre 999 in the gold cased version have the swan neck and the steel and titanium without.
For me 70% of the choice of watch goes to the movement.
Which I gather would not be either of your 1st choices.
If the non gold versions had the swan neck then I would be buying one- but alas-until the richemont management change there mind and fit the
Swan neck then my attentions will be turned to another brand and vintage as  manual wind is becoming less and less these days in average priced
Watches with out fancy complications.
I consider the jaeger lecoultre calibre 839/49 (I own 5)one of the finest designed and built calibres ever made and what ever casing it comes in has the micro screw regulation

of Panerai owners really don't place much emphasis on whether or not the movement has or doesn't have a swans neck regulator. That's just my opinion. I'd just get the model that you fancy more. Movements are all fairly accurate these days, so swans neck r...

And you're perfectly right. The day when...
